A simple but dramatic method of almost instantly altering the ambience of a room is to change the colour of the walls using colour, or even better, add by including a theme such as flowers or sky. In the lead up to Valentines Day, we talk to the founder of MS Design Studio about her romantic wall-coverings which are seen in stylish locations dotted around Europe…

MS: ”Some popular choices for romantic wall coverings in the bedroom include soft and neutral colors such as light pinks, red and gold, plus textures like velvet, suede, or damask. These wall coverings can create a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for a romantic ambiance in the bedroom. Floral or botanical prints can also add a touch of romance, evoking a sense of nature and tranquility in the space. Ultimately, the choice of wall covering will depend on personal style and taste, but these options are often favored for creating a romantic atmosphere in the bedroom. Personally, I would recommend my Dark Peonies (see above, left) or Pink Magnolia wallpaper (see below) from my collection; both wallpapers are perfect for a bedroom and they create a warm romantic atmosphere…”
NS: ”Have any well known designers or brands used your wallcoverings? If so, where?”
MS: ”Currently my studio is located in Poland, however, I supply my wallpapers to clients all over the world; my wall coverings decorate the walls of private residences, beauty salons, private medical clinics and hairdressing salons in Warsaw, London, Parma – Italy and Copenhagen. This year, they will be used as a backdrop in a large theatrical production here in Poland…”
