Weddings are more than just events to me. For me, they celebrate the most important value in life – love. I always start with the couple: their story, their personalities, their style. Every wedding I plan carries a piece of my heart, and I am so grateful to be able to accompany so many wonderful bridal couples…”

C&B: “Lia, you’re based in the centre of the most beautiful areas for weddings in Europe – what inspired you to become a planner?”
LP: “Love is the most important value in life. Even as a child, I was fascinated by moments that bring people together. Over time, I realised that I have an eye for aesthetics and atmosphere – and that I can give people a sense of calm, structure and trust with my manner…”

Most clients book me for weddings in Switzerland and Italy, however also work across in Austria and France. Many of my couples live in countries far away from Europe and are fluent in different languages. I speak German, Italian, and English – and work with international teams on a daily basis…”

C&B: “What would you say is your design philosophy when it comes to weddings?”
LP: “My design philosophy is timeless. Elegant, emotional, luxury – but always unique, like the love of the couple…”
C&B: “Each culture around Europe is quite distinctive – how do you incorporate these elements into your wedding designs?”
LP: “I observe, listen and feel the character of the place, and I involve the various elements in the decoration, always in a way that feels like it is an authentic part of the day. I never repeat a concept. I don’t work with templates; every design is completely new – like a couture piece. I really enjoy working with local vendors and designers; not only does it make the wedding more authentic, it also supports the culture and craftsmanship of the local area. Each couple receives a clear concept, mood boards, schedules, budget overviews, as well as regular calls and consultations throughout the process. I guide them through every decision so that they feel secure – no matter how far away they are based from the location of their big day…”

Every wedding is unique and leaves me with incredibly beautiful memories and insights, whether on the beach, in the mountains, by the lake or in a church. Above all, it shows me time and again how strong the bond between two people who love each other is. During the ceremony, I usually take three minutes of time for myself and enjoy the moment. It is precisely this moment that confirms to me why I decided to pursue this path. Three minutes in which I switch off my mind, put the planning aside and take a short break to enjoy the love between these two people…”

I overcome any challenges with calmness, a full plan from A to Z, and a strong network. I’m very detail-oriented and always work with clear schedules, checklists and direct communication. And if something unexpected happens? Then I solve it before the couple even finds out about it!”

C&B: “Wedding and event design concepts are always evolving; which themes do you see emerging for 2026 and beyond?”
LP: “Intimate celebrations with a focus on emotion. Statement florals – artistic, architectural forms. Handcrafted details – personalised, high-quality, meaningful. Stylish entertainment and surprises for guests…”

Floral design creates atmosphere – it defines the entire mood. I view flowers as an art form: they should flow, breathe and convey emotions. For me, decoration is not about ‘filling’ space, but about conscious design…”
