We believe weddings should feel as intentional as they are beautiful. When every detail is thoughtfully considered, couples can be fully present – connected, joyful, and immersed in the moment. Our proudest moments are hearing clients say their wedding felt ‘exactly like us’. Being trusted with such personal milestones means everything…”

Sara Flaxman and Carly Dahan are the co-founders of Champagne Dreams & Co., a wedding planning business located in Southern California. This region serves as their home base, and a significant portion of the weddings they orchestrate are destination celebrations catering to couples traveling from various states and countries.
Champagne Dreams & Co. specialises in planning weddings across California, with an emphasis on Southern California’s picturesque destinations. The allure of California – its stunning landscapes, favourable climate, and an atmosphere of relaxed luxury – often draws couples to choose this locale for their nuptials.
Sara and Carly’s individual journeys to this venture were anything but conventional. Sara’s passion for wedding planning was ignited while she was designing her own wedding, where she developed an appreciation for the creative process and its influence on guest experience. This newfound passion led her to collaborate with renowned celebrity planner Kevin Lee in Beverly Hills, where she learned the vital interplay between creativity and logistics. On the other hand, Carly brings a background in corporate banking to the partnership, where she cultivated her skills in structure, problem-solving, and operational efficiency. The combination of Sara’s creative flair and Carly’s analytical skills forms a unique foundation for Champagne Dreams & Co., allowing them to deliver exceptional wedding experiences…
C&B: “Sara and Carly, it is so important that the couple feels that their wedding reflects them; how do you ensure each wedding feels unique and personal?”
CD&Co: “We start by listening – not just to aesthetic preferences but to how couples live, gather, and celebrate. We identify meaningful details and weave them subtly throughout the weekend through custom monograms, motifs, or atmosphere so the celebration feels cohesive, refined, and unmistakably theirs…”

Our design philosophy is rooted in intentionality and storytelling. We focus less on trends and more on how a wedding feels to experience. Every element – from layout and lighting to florals and texture – supports a cohesive story that reflects the couple. We love details that feel personal but polished…”

C&B: “You’ve worked across the USA – which are the most memorable weddings you’ve organised?”
CD&Co: “We’ve had many, but two stand out. One was a full wedding weekend for a Texas couple who brought us to California to design three distinct events for their guests’ first California experience. Another, for a Washington couple, required last-minute pivots when a storm hit their outdoor venue. The final design turned out even more beautiful than planned!”

Florals define the emotional tone of a wedding. They guide flow, soften architecture, and create atmosphere. Whether lush and romantic or sculptural and minimal, they tie everything together. Scale, texture, and placement matter as much as colour – when thoughtfully designed, florals elevate the entire experience…”

C&B: “The USA has an incredible number and variety of wedding venues – which are your top favourites, and why?”
CD&Co: “We’re drawn to venues with a strong sense of place. For resort celebrations, we love The Resort at Pelican Hill, Terranea Resort, and Monarch Beach Resort for their coastal views and elevated feel. For more intimate gatherings, La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes Estates and Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano offer warmth, character, and timeless charm…”

We’ve been named Top 100 Wedding Planners and Designers by Loverly, finalists for California Wedding Day’s Best Wedding Planner (Los Angeles), and featured in California Wedding Day, Wedding Chicks, and other leading publications – recognition that reflects the care behind our work…”

C&B: “Working on high profile events in a variety of venues and locations involves a lot of logistical planning behind the scenes – how do you approach this aspect of a wedding?”
CD&Co: “Preparation is everything. We stay proactive, organised, and calm under pressure – building strong vendor relationships and detailed plans early so nothing feels reactive. Our couples never need to worry about logistics; we manage every moving part behind the scenes…”
C&B: “Final question: In your experience, what themes do you envisage for Spring/Summer 2026–2027?”
CD&Co: “Couples are embracing bolder colour palettes with texture playing a larger role — draping, layered fabrics, and immersive installations. Guest experience is taking centre stage, with smaller guest counts, less formality, and seamless pacing replacing overly structured timelines. Interactive elements – creative escort displays, cocktail walls, live entertainment, or hands-on experiences like perfume bars — are on the rise, adding dimension while keeping events polished and intentional…”
