Carole Horn Designs is a luxury wedding planning company distinguished by its philosophy of intentional luxury, where every design and detail is backed by purpose and cohesion. Operating as a family business, the firm specialises in creative event design, themed custom-built environments, and sophisticated artistry. Based in New York, Carole crafts events defined by designs that make guests linger, details that stir curiosity, and moments that leave them awestruck. Here we discuss Carole’s most memorable occasions and favourite venues…

C&B: “Carole, your company has a wonderful portfolio of magnificent occasions. How do your clients first hear of you?”

CH: “My clients are typically introduced to me through word of mouth, which has always been the most meaningful referral. Many also discover my work through my social media and magazine features, often after seeing a wedding that resonates with them. I’m also fortunate to be recommended by trusted venues and vendors…”

My design process is intuitive. I envision the event as a whole and then work closely with my team to bring that vision to life…”

C&B: “Out of all the fabulous events your company has staged, which would you say is the most memorable that you have planned?”

CH: “One of the most memorable weddings took place in the south of France, with guests staying at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc for a full five-day celebration. It was designed and executed perfectly with our international vendors it was a true destination experience rather than a single event – beginning with a Friday night dinner outdoors along the hotel’s alleys, followed by an evening at the Monaco Yacht Club, a late-night club experience at club Baoli Cannes, and ending with the wedding celebration back at Hotel du Cap. Each moment felt intentional, allowing guests to experience the Riviera in a way that felt immersive, effortless, and unforgettable…”

C&B: “That sounds incredible. Which are your favourite international wedding venues, and why?”

CH: One of my favourites is Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the south of France, as mentioned above. It offers a balance of intimacy within a truly legendary property. The gardens flow effortlessly toward the water, creating a ceremony setting that feels private, timeless, iconic, and almost impossible to replicate anywhere else. I also love InterContinental Carlton Cannes for its classic elegance paired with an iconic beach. Hosting a ceremony right on the water and then moving into the ballroom for dinner and dancing creates two atmospheres in one. The vibe of Cannes – its scenery, energy, and iconic strip that adds an effortless sense of life to the entire weekend. The third is The David Citadel Hotel, which is truly unique and special. The property sits by the Old City, and the view of David’s Tower during a ceremony is incredibly moving and emotional. The spaces allow for elevated design that feels completely in harmony with the beauty of Jerusalem…”

C&B: “What would you say is your proudest achievement as a wedding planner?”

CH: “My proudest achievement is seeing these weddings come to life in a way that truly matters. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a bride and groom experience something so personal and meaningful after months of thoughtful planning sharing there love and happiness with them…”
