We offer timeless wedding videos that not only capture the most important moments of the day but also the emotions shared by the couples. We differ from other videographers because we are a couple in real life, which allows us to empathise more deeply with the couples we work with. Therefore, our videography service stands out not only for our technical skills and experience in the wedding industry but also for our empathy and understanding of the tastes of the couples who choose us…”
Claudio Sichel, Whites Film
Claudio Sichel has been a professional director and videographer since 2007. He initially worked in the fashion and event video production sector and has had a passion for wedding video production since 2012. Currently, he is based in Padova, the city of Giotto and Donatello, and is situated very close to Venice. Claudio shares this passion with his wife, Silvia, and together they enjoy exploring their love for travel and storytelling. They have found wedding cinematography to be the perfect fusion of their interests and skills, continually discovering new emotions, places, and beautiful couples who often become friends. Here we discuss his favourite Italian destinations:
C&B: “Claudio, you are based in a most beautiful party of Italy and you travel around the country on various projects. Which are your favourite island or coastal venues?”
CS: “As lovers of warm temperatures and the sea, we appreciate every seaside location! Venice is our birthplace, so we hold it in great affection; however, we also love many places in Southern Italy, such as Masseria MonteNapoleone in Puglia, Villa Rondinaia, and Villa Cimbrone on the Amalfi Coast, as well as numerous corners of the beautiful islands of Sicily and Sardinia…”

Thank you so much to City & Beach Lifestyle for this interview. We feel very lucky to be featured among others great vendors. It’s a great opportunity for us!”
Claudio Sichel, White’s Film
C&B: “All these locations are stunning! How would you define your videography style, and how does it enhance the storytelling of our current theme of ‘island weddings’?”
CS: “Being aware of the differences between photos and videos, we create videos in a reportage style while incorporating a cinematic touch. We love to edit our films in a traditional and elegant cinematic style, featuring a soft, nostalgic vintage look…”
C&B: “Yes, the nostalgic look fits perfectly with the romantic Italian aesthetic! What techniques do you employ to capture genuine emotions and candid moments during a wedding?”
CS: “We especially enjoy handheld shots; however, we also use a gimbal for more dynamic footage and tripods for the ceremony. Every moment of the event needs to be captured with the correct equipment. Additionally, we love to produce drone shots, which are always fascinating! We also pay great attention to the audio aspect, using different types of microphones to record the ceremony and speeches, and we spend a considerable amount of time selecting the best possible soundtrack…”
C&B: “Can you suggest some iconic and picturesque locations in your home territory of Venice that are particularly suitable for wedding videography?”
CS: “One of our favourite places in Venice to take romantic portraits with couples is the Squero di San Trovaso, where gondolas are constructed. It is a very picturesque location…”
C&B: “On the subject of Lake Como, which are your favourite locations that work particularly well for wedding videography?”
CS: “Our favourite place at Lake Como is the Boat House, a little hidden gem located next to Villa Pizzo. We often recommend this location to couples who wish to have a romantic elopement right by the lake itself…”
C&B: “Lake Como can be quite complicated to get to and around; what logistical considerations do you take into account when planning to film a wedding there so you’re in position on time?”
CS: “Yes, filming a wedding in Lake Como is a dream scenario, but it requires precise logistics and coordination to execute smoothly. For us, to reduce the stress and time needed to reach the wedding venue on the day, it’s fundamental to book accommodation close to the venue, ideally in the same town – for example, Bellagio, Cernobbio, Varenna, Tremezzo, or Como…”
