When respected and acclaimed colleagues choose you, it is an incredible joy. I honestly did not expect it, and receiving such appreciation motivates me to continue aiming higher and constantly pushing my creative boundaries…”

C&B: “Diana, last month leading floral designer Tomas de Bruyne launched his book ‘The ART Of Design’ during the RSVP industry event staged at The Chancery Rosewood in London. In what way were you involved?”

DDR: “The launch of Tomas De Bruyne’s book was deeply emotional for me because the book features four projects and events we created together. The evening became even more special because I received the RSVP Favourite Wedding Planner award, a recognition that filled me with gratitude and happiness. I also helped involve selected guests and contributed to an article about the occasion which was published in Celebre Luxury Magazine…”

I’ve always strongly believed in international collaborations, and RSVP feels like a real family within the wedding and event industry. We exchange ideas, grow together, inspire one another, and create meaningful partnerships. Every reunion feels magical. Over the years, beautiful friendships have also developed, and working with talented people I genuinely care about makes every project even more special and rewarding…”

C&B: “The entire occasion was clearly a fantastic collaboration of industry experts – what did you personally think of the production and its overall impact?”

DDR: “A book as iconic and important as this one deserved an extraordinary celebration, and London was the perfect setting. The Salvador Dalí-inspired concept, together with the incredible talent of all the suppliers involved, created something truly unforgettable. Tomas’ AI-generated visual presentation by artist Jenifer Haider Chowdhury was highly impactful, while the dancers, performers, and spectacular scenography brought the event to life in a unique way. Guests will continue to talk about this particular event and share photos, videos, and stories about it because of its remarkable beauty and creativity…”

In 2023, my first book, ‘Before the Big I Do’, was released and presented in Milan, then in Puglia, New York, and Emilia-Romagna. The Italian version is available through Corsiero Editore, while the English edition is available on Amazon Kindle. My second book is already in progress, planned for release in 2027…”

C&B: “As you mentioned, your work is international; how important is this travel to your inspiration, your own books, and your overall business success?”

DDR: “Travel has always been fundamental to me, even since childhood. Exploring destinations, discovering cultures, studying traditions, and connecting with people constantly inspire my creativity. Every place has its own colours, sounds, scents, flavours, and emotions. Around the world, I know I can rely on trusted friends and collaborators, which is essential when working in international weddings and events. Inspiration often comes from the smallest detail, a colour, a texture, nature, architecture, or a fleeting moment experienced in person. Real-life experiences always carry a different energy and emotional depth…”

C&B: “Visiting different countries and experiencing their culture is a fantastic education and the best for inspiration – which are your favourite cities, and why?”

DDR: “I absolutely love Marrakech because it beautifully combines tradition with contemporary luxury and offers endless inspiration, from the Medina markets to the nearby desert landscapes. I also adore Ischia island for its magical atmosphere and natural beauty, especially around San Montano Resort & Spa. New York City inspires me with its creative energy, while Prague, my second home, preserves incredible romance and history. I also love Las Vegas for its entertainment and culinary creativity. Finally, Polignano a Mare is one of Italy’s most breathtaking gems…”

One of my favourite places in NYC is the headquarters of The New York Times, where I organised an event for the Puglia Region last January…”

C&B: “This month we are also focussing on life in New York here at City & Beach in our feature ‘NEW YORK STATE OF MIND’. We know you have an affinity with the city – which are your favourite places and why?”

DDR: “Among my favourite places in New York are the Wollman Rink in Central Park, where I worked on a fashion shoot in 2023 with exclusive Sergio Rossi bridal skates, the High Line and Chelsea Market for relaxing walks, TwoFortyThirty, a stunning creative venue by my dear friend Michael Cerbelli, and the Rooftop Park at Pier 57 for its magical atmosphere. New York always finds new ways to surprise me…”
