ANTONELLA DEL DUCA

I design weddings with a sense of charm: elegant, refined, and carefully curated. Great attention is given to the comfort of the guests and to creating memorable experiences, always guided by authenticity, aesthetic harmony, and a refined use of current fashion and design trends…”

Antonella Del Duca, Wedding Planner

Antonella Del Duca is a highly qualified and experienced wedding planner based in Frascati, located southeast of Rome, Italy. She primarily works in Rome and the Castelli Romani area, as well as throughout various regions of Italy. Additionally, Antonella provides assistance to international clients who are planning their weddings in Italy. Here we discuss memorable occasions and beautiful, atmospheric venues…

C&B: “Antonella, what first inspired you to become a wedding planner?”

AD: “My academic background is completely different, as I hold a degree in Law, but I’ve always had a strong creative drive and a deep attraction to beauty in all its forms – beauty understood as harmony, grace and elegance. As I’m an organised person by nature, and highly detail-oriented, at a certain point in my life I decided to turn these qualities into a profession. As I don’t believe in improvisation and feel the need to study everything I choose to pursue, I trained at one of Italy’s most respected academies, founded by Roberta Torresan. After completing courses and masterclasses, I opened my own studio and built my business with a clear entrepreneurial mindset, finally finding my true professional dimension…”

I introduce my clients to locations that are often lesser known, particularly in the Castelli Romani area just outside Rome, which offers breathtaking scenery highly appreciated by international couples. Food and wine play a key role, together with Italian craftsmanship, lifestyle, local culture and also more contemporary themes…”

C&B: “You mentioned your international clients – how do you tailor your services to meet their needs of when planning their wedding in Italy?”

AD: “I work with streamlined, tested and fully digitalised processes, designed to make planning from abroad smooth and efficient. I always act in my clients’ best interest, offering honest guidance and constant support, remaining highly attentive and available throughout every stage, despite the distance…”

Knowing that I can contribute to the joy of two people in love and support them at the beginning of their life together is the most beautiful aspect of my profession. Looking ahead, I would love to further promote the Castelli Romani area internationally – a place that continues to leave foreign couples truly amazed every time they discover it…”

C&B: “On the creative and design side, can you describe one of the most memorable weddings you have planned?”

AD: “One of the most evocative weddings I have ever designed took place in a historic Italian castle. The exceptionally elegant couple was escorted through the castle’s magnificent Italian gardens by a traditional group of local flag bearers, creating a truly theatrical and emotional entrance. Guests were welcomed with a refined buffet-style aperitif, served on beautiful Toile de Jouy tablecloths, before being guided to the dinner area set beneath a majestic tree-lined tunnel. A single imperial table, over 40 meters long, became the heart of the celebration. It was styled with Ginori ‘Oriental’ porcelain, personalised linen napkins embroidered with each guest’s full name, and bespoke paper menus and place markers echoing the same pattern as the plates. Glass candelabras and lush floral arrangements in a harmonious palette – displayed on tall glass stands and alternated with lower vases – completed the scene. The final result was breathtaking: an atmosphere where elegance could be felt in every single detail…”

I consider my greatest professional achievement to be building my business entirely from the ground up, turning a vision into a respected and solid reality. It has been a journey that required resilience, long-term vision, and a strong determination to remain true to my professional values, even during particularly challenging moments. Looking back, that path represents the strongest foundation of my growth…”

C&B: “That sounds absolutely incredible – a testament to your skills in both design and planning! The castle sounds amazing – which are your three favourite wedding venues within Italy?”

AD: “Villa Mondragone and Castello Ruspoli, both historic residences rich in atmosphere, with magnificent gardens, frescoed halls and a sense of timeless elegance. Abbazia di San Pastore, for its more rural and natural character, its breathtaking landscape, authenticity and generous open spaces…”
