C&B: “Alessia, what first inspired you to become a wedding planner, what gAve you the confidence, and how did you choose the name of your company?”
AA: “It all started from a deep desire I carried within me. I had to begin this journey! My organisational and creative nature kept telling me that I needed to follow this aspiration of mine. Thirteen years ago, the role of a wedding planner didn’t have the relevance it has today and at first it was a process of educating couples – something I’m now very proud of. The market was initially mostly Italian, but soon Destination Weddings filled my world, further fuelling my passion and my ambitions. I have a degree in languages and speak Italian, English, German and French. I love people, and I travel a lot!”
The name of my agency is ‘Arancia e Cannella‘. This pairing comes from my passion for cooking. When I opened the studio, I was pregnant with my first daughter and I used to bake tarts with orange marmalade and bits of cinnamon! I can say that my philosophy combines the creativity and warmth typical of Italian culture, symbolised by orange, with refined elegance and meticulous attention to detail, represented by cinnamon…”

AA: “Most of my weddings are set in the wonderful regions of Marche and Abruzzo.

AA: “I consider myself to be a citizen of the world and this allows me to connect with clients from every culture, background and tradition without limitations. It’s important to keep each couple’s culture alive, with the awareness that Italy will play a fundamental role, because those who choose to get married here really admire our country. The venue itself is like a blank canvas, a canvas we can personalise and make unique according to the spirit and personality of each couple. Every venue can take on countless forms, and it’s up to us to make each event truly one of a kind.”
