C&B: “Christina, what first inspired you to become a wedding planner and which are your favourite locations within your home country of the USA?”
CP: “I’ve always been drawn to design and artistic expressions, and I’ve always loved events and celebrating with others. Bringing those together felt like something I was always meant to do. While California remains our core, the North Shore of Long Island, New York offers timeless country estates near the water. In California, Monterey has a dramatic and beautiful coastline. Los Angeles and San Diego offer an incredible range of venues and a large clientele – and Joshua Tree provides a unique alternative to the coast without having to leave Southern California…”
I personalise our weddings by getting to really know the couple. I hear how they fell in love, what colours they’re drawn to, their favourite scents, and the little things that matter most to them. I pay close attention to their personalities, interests, and the details they may not even realise they’re sharing. From there, I design with intention. Every decision is based on who they are and what their love feels like, so the day truly feels like them, not a template…”

C&B: “As you also plan weddings and events overseas, how do you incorporate the unique cultural elements of each location into your wedding designs?”
CP: “Every place has its own energy, history, and rhythm, and I place these elements into my overall design. The wedding should feel like it truly belongs at that destination, rather than it having been simply ‘dropped in’ from elsewhere…”
Wedding design is everything to us here at Azure Events. When the flowers are elaborate, you can tell the bride is a flower girl at heart. CP: “I was chosen to host, design, and put together an event from scratch with Planner Power. It was nerve-wracking, but when my peers praised my work for weeks to come, I felt this incredible sense of pride and empowerment…”
