C&B: “What inspired you to choose a career in wedding photography, and how did you get your start in the industry?”
CW: “I started shooting landscape photography when I was young, and then six years ago, I really began shooting couples and weddings. For me, it has always been about the connection and human emotion that has driven me to enter the wedding industry, to capture those moments that my couples can look back on and truly feel how they felt that day…”

C&B: “Can you describe your photography style and what you believe sets you apart from other wedding photographers?”
CW: ”I believe my photography style is honest, intimate, and thoughtful. I’ve never wanted to create just a beautiful image; I’ve always desired for it to feel meaningful. I lead with the approach of conveying honesty in my work. I firmly believe that what takes us back to a memorable time is the ability to look at a photo and still feel how we felt in that exact moment. This can be achieved by allowing the day to unfold naturally…”

C&B: “Wedding photography takes a special type of talent; which has been your most memorable shoot, and what made it stand out for you?”
CW: “My favourite and most memorable wedding shoot – one that truly shifted my perspective on my approach – was for a couple at The Waterfall in Cleymont, Delaware. It was a day that felt genuinely authentic. They were kind, and there was laughter, tears, and a strong presence of people who were immensely supportive of them. I left that day feeling that the only thing that mattered to the two of them was the union that marriage represents, and I greatly valued that. Although the day was stunning, well planned, and each detail was beautiful, what truly mattered to everyone was simply the two of them becoming one…”

I love shooting fashion and bridal. Networking has been a huge help in developing my skills and making my goals feel achievable for my future within photography…”

C&B: “That sounds like an occasion that exemplified what weddings are truly about. How do you remain creative and inspired in your work, especially during peak wedding seasons when you may have multiple events to cover?”
CW: “I’m a person who journals daily. Reading scripture and writing have been the biggest inspirations for me to remain creative, even during the peak of wedding season. These practices consistently bring me back to my ‘why’ and my core values, regardless of how busy my schedule may become, so that I can approach every event in the most authentic way possible…”
C&B: “Looking ahead, what are your goals for your photography business in the next few years, and how do you plan to achieve them?”
CW: “My ideal client is thoughtful of every part of the planning process, therefore I’m currently rebranding to connect with luxury-orientated clients that share the same values that I do…”
