In all my ceremonies, I include a reference to the history of the location where we are. When crafting a ceremony that takes place in Lake Como, there is an abundance of heritage to incorporate: the views of the lake and the Alps, as well as the multitude of historic venues. All of this comes together to create an enchanting atmosphere that is intimate and steeped in romance…”

C&B: “Jennifer, you’re very much in demand for destination weddings and by VIP clients located around the world – what distinctive features do you find most captivating in the destination weddings you have officiated, and how do these features enhance the overall ceremony?”
JP: “For me, it is the sea, the sky, and, depending on our location, the mountains that create a captivating atmosphere. The significance of being in a meaningful place for the couple, along with their desire to share the love of that location with their family and closest friends against such a backdrop, is truly mesmerising…”

C&B: “We can imagine! Can you describe a particularly enchanting moment from a wedding that you have officiated, which sums up the romance inherent in such settings?”
JP: “The moment that immediately springs to mind, possibly because it was at my first destination wedding, was at a ceremony in Portimão, Portugal. It took place on a cliff overlooking the sea; it was a bilingual wedding, and as the couple recited their personal vows, I’m convinced that the sun shone even brighter, the sky was even bluer, and the sea was extra calm…”

C&B: “That sounds like a truly spiritual moment. In what ways do you collaborate with couples to incorporate local customs and traditions into their wedding ceremonies?”
JP: “I send my couples a very detailed questionnaire that includes a myriad of my questions. Throughout the planning process for the ceremony, I consistently check in with them to ensure that I’m informed of any additional thoughts or memories they may have. This allows me to gain a comprehensive understanding of their vision…”
C&B: “Lake Como is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations, attracting celebrants from around the globe who officiate for international couples wishing to marry there. What first inspired this dream of yours?”
JP: “Oh, this is easy! Lake Como itself is spectacularly beautiful with stunning views of the Alps and the lake, full of history and spectacular buildings. The charm of the area is timeless and there are many different options of venue for the ceremony, such as Villa Cipressi, and the light at any given time, in my opinion is golden. I love crafting and conducting timeless, elegant ceremonies – Lake Como is the perfect backdrop for them…”
