C&B: “Keith, we love your relaxed style of photography – you really seem to capture the essence of each couple. Can you describe your background and experience in wedding photography, particularly in Paris and internationally?”
KF: “Yes – I began my career in 2009, building a solid foundation in photography through my work in a photo lab, where I developed analog images. This process fascinated me and served as a nostalgic reminder of my childhood, during which I observed my grandfather and father, both amateur photographers, bring images to life as if by magic in the developing baths.”
C&B: “It’s amazing that photography is in your heritage, almost in your blood! How did you go about getting your first ever project?”
KF: “It was pure chance that truly launched my wedding photography journey. A fellow photographer, injured at the last minute, asked me to step in and replace him and cover a wedding with 400 guests. It was a tremendous challenge but also a revelation – from that day on, I knew this was where I wanted to focus my energy and creativity!”

Consider investing in a photographer who has experience with destination weddings and is comfortable traveling, as they’ll be better equipped to handle the logistics and adapt to new environments seamlessly. I’m here to guide you through the process and make sure the photography side of your wedding is stress-free and beautifully captured…”

C&B: “How do you describe your style of photography, and how do you adapt it to different wedding cultures and settings around the world?”
KF: “My photography is timeless and elegant, blending candid moments with editorial sophistication. I have a deep appreciation for black-and-white portraits, capturing them in a way that feels both classic and refined. When working with different weddings, I make sure to understand the unique traditions and details that define each celebration. Whether it’s a Parisian château, a Provençal vineyard, or a destination abroad, I embrace the local atmosphere and weave it into the visual story. My goal is to honour the cultural richness of each event while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic that aligns with both the couple’s vision and my own signature style…”

The key to feeling comfortable in front of the camera is open communication with your photographer. Before the wedding day, take the time to share your thoughts, preferences, and any concerns you might have about being photographed. If there’s a specific profile you love or a feature you feel less confident about, let your photographer know – it’s our job to make you look and feel your best. By understanding your preferences, I can adjust angles, lighting, and posing to highlight what you love and de-emphasise anything you’re self-conscious about. This collaboration builds trust and ensures that you can relax and focus on enjoying your day while I capture your most authentic, beautiful moments…”

C&B: “That sounds amazing – as well as capturing the ambience of the location, how do you approach working with your couples to ensure their precise, authentic vision is captured on the day?”
KF: “Every couple’s story is unique, and my role is to bring their vision to life in a way that feels natural and timeless. I start with getting to know the couple, their personalities, their style, and the little details that make their relationship. Through conversations, I work with them to understand their expectations and aesthetic preferences. On the wedding day, I blend into the background, capturing candid moments, while also guiding them subtly during editorial-style portraits to ensure they feel confident and at ease. My aim is to document their day authentically, highlighting the emotions, beauty, and intimacy, so they have a collection of photographs that truly reflects their love story…”
C&B: “Many of the venues in Paris are truly astounding. Could you share some of the most memorable weddings you have photographed in the city, along with the locations?”
KF: I’ve had the privilege of photographing many unforgettable weddings, each has been unique in its own way. One that particularly stands out is a wedding at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine. The mix of Parisian sophistication and the intimate garden atmosphere created a truly magical day. I also photographed a stunning Moroccan wedding that took place at the Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry, a historic venue filled with charm and grandeur. The timeless beauty of this setting made every moment feel like it belonged in a classic romance story…”
C&B: “These locations sound gorgeous – which other locations within France would you say are your favourites?”
KF: “In France, two venues hold a special place in my heart: The Château de Champlâtreux, with its timeless elegance and grandeur, is one of my favourite locations; it offers a perfect blend of history and beauty. Another gem is the Domaine de Canaille in the South of France, where the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the peaceful atmosphere make it an extraordinary setting for weddings…”
Internationally, the Palmeraie in Marrakech remains one of my most unforgettable experiences; the vibrant colours and unique ambiance of Morocco create an unparalleled backdrop for capturing memories. I photographed a destination wedding at the Domaine d’Abraj which left a lasting impression – with breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the intimate charm of the riad, it was the perfect setting for a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable scenery…”

Couples can typically expect to receive their final images within 6 to 8 weeks. This timeframe allows me to give each photo the attention it deserves while ensuring the final collection is perfect and ready to be treasured for years to come…”

C&B: “These locations sound wonderful! How do you handle different lighting conditions and settings, especially for outdoor weddings?”
KF: “Over the years, my experience has taught me that no two weddings are the same, and lighting can be one of the most dynamic aspects of an outdoor celebration. Whether it’s the soft, golden glow of sunset or the bright midday sun, I’ve developed an eye to adapt depending on the situation. Anticipation is key. If I can I try and scout locations beforehand to understand how natural light will shift throughout the day. This allows me to plan for the best angles and moments, ensuring that every shot is flattering and tells a story. I also come prepared with the right equipment, from reflectors to portable lighting, to handle any situation where natural light might need a little enhancement. Ultimately, it’s about balancing creativity with preparation. Years of working in diverse environments have sharpened my ability to quickly adjust and make the most of every setting, capturing images that feel natural, timeless, and full of life…”
C&B: “Talking over overseas locations, what advice do you have for couples planning a destination wedding, particularly regarding photography logistics?”
KF: “Planning a destination wedding is exciting but comes with unique challenges, especially for photography. My first advice is to prioritise communication. Share your vision, timeline, and any cultural or logistical details with your photographer early on. This ensures we’re fully prepared to capture every important moment. I also recommend planning your schedule with plenty of buffer time, especially for travel between locations, as delays can happen. Scout your venue – or share as much as you can about it – so your photographer can anticipate lighting conditions and choose the best spots for portraits…”
C&B: “Preparation is key! Can you explain your process for editing the photographs and how long couples can expect to wait for their final images?”
KF: “My editing process is designed to enhance each photo while keeping it natural and timeless; I start by carefully selecting the best images that tell the story of the day, ensuring every key moment and detail is included. From there, I adjust colours, lighting, and tones to create a cohesive and polished gallery that reflects the mood and beauty of the event…”
C&B: “How do you stay current with trends in wedding photography, and how do you incorporate these trends into your work?”
KF: “Staying current with trends in wedding photography is important, not only to meet the evolving tastes of couples but also as a way to stay creative. I enjoy exploring new trends, whether it’s fresh lighting techniques, compositions, or innovative ideas, and I like to blend these with my own signature style. However, my focus always remains on what truly matters: capturing the emotions, the love between the couple, and the unforgettable moments shared with their loved ones. Trends are a great way to inspire creativity, but at the end of the day, the essence of wedding photography is telling a timeless, personal story…”
C&B: “Do you offer your couples a selection of packages to choose from, that they can customise, or how does it work?”
KF: “Yes, I offer flexible packages ranging from 8 to 12 hours of coverage, however every service is tailored to fit each couple’s unique needs. For international clients, I take extra care to understand their vision and the cultural or logistical details of their event. Whether it’s a multi-day celebration or a single-day wedding, I can customise the coverage, include a second photographer for larger events, and even offer aerial shots with a drone. My goal is to ensure the package aligns perfectly with the scale and style of their wedding, no matter where in the world it takes place. During the booking process, I’m flexible and happy to schedule calls or virtual meetings at times that work best for my clients, no matter where they are; I provide detailed timelines and updates, and I’m always available to answer questions or address concerns promptly. My goal is to make the process smooth and stress-free, no matter the distance…”
