“We’re a global studio, and we are incredibly lucky with the range of experiences we create. We’ve worked in many unique venues and locations, from an enchanted woodland experience at Nomadic Dinners just outside of London to a beach party on the shores of Monaco. We created a bespoke murder mystery on board a client’s private yacht once, which was incredible, and I would say one highlight venue we’ve performed at is Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid. Most recently, this year we have created performances in the French Alps, St. Barths, Seville, and, of course, our home city of London…”
Roxanne Reynolds, Founder & Artistic Director, R Creative Studio
Roxanne Reynolds is Founder and Artistic Director at R Creative Studio, a creative studio based in London that specialises in the curation of theatre-style, bespoke show concepts and immersive experiences for weddings and events worldwide. Feedback from delighted clients include: “Your vision is everything, we couldn’t and wouldn’t do it without you” from ‘Find Your Wild Child’; “You guys are insane” from Sigma, and
“You are seriously good at what you do” from Hotel Cafe Royal. Here we discuss inspiration, destinations, and logistics…
C&B: “Roxanne, huge congratulations on your recent involvement in the RSVP launch of floral designer Tomas de Bruyne’s new book, ‘The Art Of Design’ at the new Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair, London (video clip below) – an event that will be the talk of the events industry for a long time to come. What first inspired you to form R Creative?”
RR: “I founded R Creative Studio nearly three years ago now. With my background as a performer in live theatre, I saw an opportunity to bring more theatrical storytelling and cinematic production into the world of live events. I wanted to create show concepts and experiences that felt like a slice of theatre, combining that same level of costuming, musicality, choreography and storytelling to create those wow moments…”

Our costumes are designed in response to the event environment and designers creative moodboards, ensuring everything feels cohesive and intentional. At the level we work at, the performers should feel like living works of art within the space, with the costumes acting as a natural extension of the event itself…”

C&B: “How many acts do you have, and how do they vary in terms of style and performance?”
RR: “The list is almost endless. We design everything bespoke, so rather than offering a fixed catalogue of acts, each experience is created around the client, the setting and the story they want to tell. One event might feature a theatrical show with dancers and musicians, while another unfolds as an immersive world with characters and unexpected moments throughout the event…”

We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with our creative partners on our events to ensure a fully cohesive experience. Since we develop everything in-house—from costuming to music and choreography—our close collaboration with designers, florists, and production teams enhances the overall experience and elevates the events to the next level…”

C&B: “An aspect that strikes us, is the enormity of any R Creative production – you have to think about everything from costumes through to transit of equipment and performers – what would you say are your biggest logistical challenges?”
RR: “I’d say one of the biggest challenges is coordinating the many moving parts behind each experience. Much of our work takes place in unique locations, so adapting creative ideas to very different environments can be part of the challenge. The goal is always to ensure that, despite all of that complexity behind the scenes, the final experience feels completely seamless and effortless for the client and their guests…”
