INTRODUCTION TO: NICKY SUMMER

I love to travel, and I love to work. Combining my knowledge of interiors and events while documenting related luxury brands for the audience of City & Beach Lifestyle is symbiotic in many ways. Hospitality inspires my interior projects as well as the events I organise, and behind the scenes, I consult on behalf of many notable names across these industries…”

Nicky Summer, Luxury Lifestyle Designer

NICKY SUMMER is a prominent luxury lifestyle designer who first gained international recognition for working on advertising campaigns for L’Oreal, Lancôme, and the royal jeweller Mappin & Webb, as well as for her work with photographer Lord Lichfield and her role as a James Bond girl. The latter entailed appearing in the movie and representing it internationally at premieres and through the media. In her multifaceted career, she continues to act as an ambassador for the current 007 franchise. Her engagements include participating in themed fashion shows, making personal appearances, and conducting autograph signings around the globe, where she embodies the elegance and intrigue associated with the iconic brand…

INTERIORS: Nicky has operated her own high-end residential and super-yacht interior design company for the past 25 years, with a regular client list that includes Sotheby’s International Realty, Knight Frank, Harrods Estates, Hamptons, and Savills. Her portfolio includes over 40 luxury residential and yacht projects for UHNW clients in California, France, Italy, and the South of France. A typical client profile is international publisher and broadcaster Andrew Neil (seen below, right) whose villa in the South of France and penthouse duplex apartment in London were both refurbished and designed by Nicky Summer Interiors. Nicky’s brand of 12 travel-inspired scented candles, ‘Nicky Summer Bougie‘ is produced in Grasse, France. Press coverage includes a cover story feature in the weekend supplement of The San Francisco Chronicle, a full page in The Financial Times’ ‘How to Spend It’ supplement, as well as features in TATLER, YOU Magazine, and The London Evening Standard. The minimum investment per interior design project is £250,000.

LAUNCH EVENTS: Alongside interiors, Nicky has been responsible for launch event production on behalf of many notable individuals and brands, including the S/V ‘Savarona’ in Istanbul (above); MONTE’S (London), the first outpost outside of France headed by super-chef Alain Ducasse; the launch of a private club by royal chef Anton Mosimann OBE; the launch of King’s Chelsea luxury property development on behalf of Northacre plc; The British Red Cross Valentino/Dolce & Gabbana show; a celebrity-endorsed ‘Say No To Drugs’ campaign on behalf of HM Government UK (in direct co-ordination with Matthew Freud, Freud Communications); an anniversary dinner for Cartier; many dinners on behalf of Champage Krug in direct co-ordination with Remi Krug; an exclusive YPO dinner; committee member of The Met Bar/Nobu London by Nobu Matsuhisa; most of the new penthouse apartments in the developments by developers St George plc that line the Thames in central London; The Fox Club by legendary hoteliers Tim & Kit Kemp.

PUBLICATIONS: Nicky Summer is the founder of the CITY & BEACH LIFESTYLE media, a collection of 4 online magazines spanning events and weddings, interiors, wellbeing, and luxury travel, the content of which is specifically directed to the UHNW sector, including her immediate social group and contacts within Hollywood, high-end property, hospitality, and industry. One of the magazines, ‘City & Beach MODE’, publishes the annual CITY & BEACH BEST DRESSED LIST – her team liaising directly with those who appear on it.

REVIEWS: As part of her role with CITY & BEACH LIFESTYLE publications, Nicky periodically reviews luxury hotels on behalf of the owner/senior management. These reviews, as with the rest of the content, are tailored for the comparatively small UHNW sector. Until recently, hotel reviews were limited to both personal and public video posts on Instagram; however, CITY & BEACH has recently begun uploading comprehensive text, image, and video reviews to the content of its online magazines, in addition to sharing them on Instagram, Threads, Substack, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

I love referring brands, introducing people to one another, and recommending different places. This trait formed the base of my careers in event design, which then evolved into interiors. It was natural to launch the online magazines 12 years ago, and our collective now reaches circa 200,000 international UHNWI readers, viewers and followers across all our platforms each month, and many of them do tend to act on what we suggest…”

Nicky Summer, Luxury Lifestyle Designer

In most cases, a financial transaction is required for the promotion to our audience, although there are occasions when this fee may be waived.
