C&B: “Noemi, what first inspired you to become a wedding planner?”
NA: “Some people find their path slowly; for me, it happened in a single moment, watching the film ‘The Wedding Planner’ when I was young. At that time, this profession barely existed in Italy, yet something inside me reacted immediately. It was like someone had finally named a part of me that was already there. I didn’t choose this profession logically; it felt like a calling long before it became a career… a spark that grew through study, evolution and an instinct for transforming emotions into experiences.”
Italy’s most beautiful venues often come with logistical challenges – narrow roads, cliff-sides, historic rules. However, as I grew up here, these challenges are simply part of the landscape I know by heart. With the right planning, everything works beautifully…”

C&B: “Everyone has their own design philosophy when it comes to staging a romantic occasion – what is yours when it comes to weddings?”
NA: “For me, design is emotion; it’s not about decoration, it’s about atmosphere, light, movement and the feeling a space gives you. When I create an installation, it feels like dreaming with open eyes. I see scenes long before they exist, and, on the wedding day, the couple looks at the setup and says ‘Wow!’ something inside me lights up. In that moment I know I’ve translated my taste, my sensitivity, and their story into something they can experience with their senses. My philosophy is simple: you should feel a wedding before you see it…”
Today’s weddings require a blend of editorial minimalism and warmth. Elegance is becoming quieter and more intentional. Florals are the emotional heartbeat of a wedding, they bring poetry, movement, and softness. Combined with the right lighting and architecture, flowers transform a space into something guests don’t just see – they live inside it…”

C&B: “Italy is a beautifully romantic wedding destination… how do you incorporate all the unique cultural elements of your home country into your wedding designs?”
NA: “I was born in Sorrento, so this coastline isn’t just a destination, it’s home to me. I know its rhythm, its colours, its scents, the hidden corners and the way the light changes throughout the day. So I don’t ‘add’ clichéd elements of Italy to a wedding; I let the essence of Italy guide the design. The architecture, nature and local culture naturally shape the aesthetic in a way that feels authentic and never forced. Italy is full of exceptional artisans, and I love involving those who work with ceramics, paper, fabrics, wood, floral art and bespoke décor. Their work adds authenticity, depth and that handmade Italian soul you can’t recreate anywhere else…”
I work with people, rather than templates. Every couple has a different rhythm, atmosphere and emotional world; I listen to that and build the design around it. I never repeat a concept… everything must belong to the personal story of the couple, rather than any current trend.”

C&B: “As Italy is renowned as the perfect wedding destination for couples from overseas, how do you specifically tailor your services to meet their needs?”
NA: “With listening, clarity and structure. International couples often need guidance through local customs, vendor culture, contracts, logistics and timelines. I translate everything, literally and creatively, so the process feels simple and reassuring. With constant communication and very clear documentation, I translate vendor terms, provide visual materials, and keep every step transparent. My clients always know what is happening and why. They never feel lost, that’s fundamental for me. I become their ‘anchor’ here, making Italy feel close, familiar and perfectly manageable…”
C&B: “Yes, being able to turn the dream into reality on a practical level is so important! Are there any particularly memorable weddings you have planned her in your homeland?”
NA: “The weddings I remember most are not necessarily the biggest or the most complex, they’re the ones where emotion and atmosphere connected perfectly. A candlelit dinner overlooking the sea, a garden ceremony wrapped in silence before the vows, a father squeezing his daughter’s hand right before she walks the aisle. These moments stay with me more than any décor detail; I remember the energy of the occasion, rather than the layout…”
C&B: “Is there any single facet of planning a wedding that makes you realise that you’ve chosen the right vocation in life?”
NA: “During a wedding, there’s a moment that moves me every single time: The bride walking the aisle with her father. It’s an instant where time slows down… a breath suspended between what has been and what is about to begin. It’s tender, powerful, universal, and every time I witness it, I’m reminded why I do this work…”
