C&B: “Sakira, what first inspired you to pursue a career in wedding planning?”

SG: “What inspired me is my passion for the organisation and fine details. I love designing the set ups of the wedding, and the best part is bringing them to life. I simply adore everything about love…”

C&B: “What would you say has been your biggest influence?”

SG: “The art of visual storytelling, starting with movies with love scenes and weddings. Over time, this turned into a passion for bridal gowns and a deep love for flowers. For me, flowers and fashion are the heart of event design, so becoming a wedding planner was the perfect way to blend everything that I love into one dream…”

C&B: “How would you describe your style, and how has it evolved over the years?”

SG: “My style has grown alongside my experience. Starting out as a young intern and later managing high-profile events taught me the fundamentals, transforming my creative vision. My style shifted from basic and emerging to sophisticated, timless and innovative. I love to blend luxury with authenticity, ensuring that every detail is perfectly aligned with what my clients have dreamt of…”

C&B: “In your opinion, what are the essential elements that contribute to a successful wedding and/or event?”

SG: “In my experience a successful wedding or event comes down to a few key elements. First of all a flawless organisation, this starts with setting clear priorities based on what matters the most for the client. After this establishing a realistic budget. Ultimately, the real secret is trusting true professionals who can realise the perfect day and an unforgettable experience…”

I must admit there are many beautiful wedding venues in Italy! Villa Aurelia based in Rome, simply stunning, it has a lot history inside and it is so romantic and elegant. Casina Valadier in the heart of Rome, overlooking the eternal city, when you walk inside this venue it seems the time stops. Villa Cimbrone based in Ravello, well here we could say many things, including thebbreathtaking backdrop of the Amalfi Coast. Palazzo Principi Lanza based in Calabaria, set on a clifftop over the sea, the sunset is stunning, it has different shades of pink, simply magic. Villa del Balbianello based on Lake Como, I think that arriving by boat creates an unforgettable, cinematic experience for everyone!”

C&B: “Could you share the most memorable experience you’ve had while planning a wedding?”

SG: “A truly memorable experience was organising the wedding for an influential couple of Italy. The project carried a very big responsibility, which initially brought a lot of pressure. How ever, I fully committed myself to the project and surrounded my self with the vendors I usually trust and work with. Embracing that challange transformed my mindest, it showed me that no boudary is insurmountable when you lead with passion and trust your experties. It wasn’t just career milestone, it was a deep learning experience that shaped how I approach every event today…”
