C&B: “Carla, you live and work in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy; how many weddings do you produce during a typical year?”
CF: “On average, I design between 30 and 35 weddings each year. I intentionally keep the number limited so I can dedicate a high level of creativity, care, and artistic direction to every celebration. I believe luxury lies in attention to detail and in creating something truly unique for each client…”
C&B: “What so far has been your most significant summer event or wedding?”
CF: “One of the most meaningful weddings I have designed was an international celebration in the Umbrian countryside surrounded by olive groves, historic architecture, and breathtaking views. What made it special was the emotional connection between the setting and the floral design. Every installation was created to feel naturally intertwined with the landscape while maintaining a sophisticated editorial style…”
I’m especially inspired by historic villas, borgos, monasteries, and countryside estates throughout Italy, particularly in Umbria and Tuscany. I love venues with a strong identity and authentic atmosphere, where nature and architecture coexist beautifully. Ancient stone walls, Italian gardens, cypress trees, and warm summer light create the perfect canvas for floral storytelling…”

C&B: “Which are your favourite flowers during the summer season, and why?”
CF: “Summer offers extraordinary textures, movement, and colour. I particularly love garden roses, cosmos, sweet peas, jasmine vine, and locally grown seasonal flowers (below). I’m drawn to flowers that feel organic and poetic, with natural movement and softness. I love arrangements that appear effortless yet sophisticated, where fragrance and texture become part of the emotional experience…”

CF: “I find inspiration in Italian art, fashion, cinema, architecture, nature, and above all, human emotion. I’m especially inspired by atmosphere: the way light transforms a space at sunset, the intimacy of a dinner under the stars, or the emotions shared during meaningful moments. My work is not only about flowers, but about creating memories and feelings that remain with people long after the event has ended…”
My dream project would be a multi-day wedding celebration in an iconic Italian location where floral design, art direction, music, fashion, and architecture merge into one immersive experience. I would love to create something cinematic yet deeply intimate, where every detail feels intentional and emotionally connected to the surrounding landscape…”
