FLORALS: SEED & WILD

I absolutely love dahlias, roses, hydrangeas, cosmos and sweet peas. Summer flowers have such beautiful movement, colour and scent, and sweet peas in particular always feel wonderfully nostalgic and romantic to me…”

Chelsea Taylor-Davies, Founder, Seed & Wild

Chelsea Taylor-Davies is the founder of Seed & Wild, a wedding florist and floral design studio based in Lancashire, specialising in weddings across the Lake District and the North West of England. With an average of 30 to 40 weddings and events each year, Chelsea brings a considered, nature-led approach to bridal floristry – drawing on the wild landscapes and seasonal rhythms of the region to create arrangements that feel rooted in place. Seed & Wild is known for its organic, unstructured aesthetic, favouring locally grown and foraged blooms over imported floristry staples, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and working in harmony with the natural growing calendar. Chelsea works closely with each couple to translate their vision into floral narratives that feel personal rather than prescriptive – from intimate elopements in the Cumbrian fells to larger celebrations across the North West’s country houses and heritage venues…

C&B: “Chelsea, your floral designs are beautiful; what most inspires you, and why?”

CTD: “I’m most inspired by my couples — their personalities, ideas and individuality are always a fresh source of creativity. I also love Korean floristry for its softness and attention to detail, and I often find inspiration in music and atmosphere too…”

Every wedding feels significant to me in its own way. I build close relationships with many of my couples throughout the planning process, so each celebration feels incredibly personal and memorable for different reasons…”

I love working at some of the Lake District’s most beautiful venues, including Holesfoot, Casterton Grange and Askham Hall. Each one offers something completely unique — from stunning surroundings to incredible teams — and they all create such a special experience for couples and guests alike…”

C&B: “What would be your dream project and what are your plans over the rest of this year?”

CTD: “A beautifully styled farm or ranch wedding would be a dream — something relaxed, thoughtful and deeply personal, with lots of intentional details that truly reflect the couple. I want to continue creating beautiful Lake District weddings filled with personality, feeling and meaningful details, while growing a business that stays thoughtful, creative and personal…”
